     Anushka Sharma is an Indian model turned actress and film producer who predominantly works in Hindi film industry. Anushka debuted in Bollywood opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rabe Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008). She has starred in various commercial hit movies like Band Baaja Baaraat, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, PK, and Sultan. Anushka is a co-founder of the production company Clean Slate Films and crime-thriller movie NH 10 (2015) was her production debut. Anushka Sharma got hitched to her longtime cricketer beau Virat Kohli.

Anushka Sharma was born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and was raised in Bangalore. Anushka has no aspirations to become an actress rather, she initially intended to pursue a career in modelling and journalism. To take up modelling full time, Anushka moved to Mumbai and enrolled herself in the Elite Model Management. Anushka Sharma made her runway debut in 2007 at Lakme Fashion Week for designer Wendell Rodrick's Les Vamps Show. Since then, Anushka has done campaigns for multiple brands: Silk & Shine, Nathella Jewelry, Fiat Palio, etc. While modelling, Anushka grew keen interest in acting so she joined an acting school and started auditioning for roles in movies.

 Anushka was born in Ayodhya, Anushka Sharma was raised in Bangalore. Anushka's father Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma is an army officer while her mother Ashima Sharma is a homemaker. Anushka's elder brother Karnesh Sharma earlier served in the Merchant Navy and now is a film producer and co-founder of Clean State Films, a film production company. Anushka says she takes pride in calling herself an army officer's daughter and also being a military brat shaped her as a person. On December 11, 2017, Anushka married her longtime cricketer boyfriend Virat Kohli in a private ceremony in Italy. Anushka is very close to her family and is always seen posting photos of her family.

            Anushka Sharma did modelling before entering the glamorous Bollywood industry and appeared in various TV commercials. Anushka auditioned for the lead role in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and after the audition, she signed a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films Studio. Anushka debuted in Bollywood with Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi opposite Shahrukh Khan. She played the role of a young bride to a middle-aged man. Her performance and energy were highly appreciated by critics and the movie went on to become box office hit.
